Shawn M. Doyle, 29, of School Street in Hudson Falls, has been charged with second-degree murder in the case. Police said the two met online. Doyle met Leonard, a single mother of two, online and the two carried on a relationship. Police said Doyle helped Leonard move before she disappeared. She was on her way to pick up Yankees tickets in the Albany area, but never got there. Her car was found in the Syracuse area. Doyle was arraigned in the Town of Kingsbury, where he is set to appear again Friday afternoon.

He will also appear before a Washington County Grand Jury. Doyle went quietly and has not given a statement to police.
